Dr. Rachel Ferguson is a professor of business ethics, assistant dean of the College of Business, and director of the Free Enterprise Center at Concordia University Chicago. Also a philosopher and author, Dr. Ferguson published "Black Liberation Through the Marketplace: Hope, Heartbreak, and the Promise of America" (2022), with WVU's Teaching Assistant Professor of Economic History, Dr. Marcus Witcher. In this seminar, Dr. Ferguson will discuss her work and research understanding black entrepreneurship and how black Americans used markets and civil society to overcome discrimination.
